Pattiswick Hall

Pattiswick Hall is a big farmhouse on our arable farm out near Braintree. It's a proper listed building so there are a lot of beams and uneven floors. It's detached, obviously.

It sleeps sixteen in eight bedrooms. There are four bathrooms, three of them are en-suite. The kitchen has an Aga and there's a good-sized table. There's a separate living room and a games room off the kitchen, which is handy if you've got kids. Up on the second floor there are two more bedrooms and a small kitchenette, so it's a bit separate if some of your group wants that.

Because it's an old house, the stairs are steep and the ceilings are low in places. You'll need to mind your head.

Outside, there's a garden. You can use the outdoor swimming pool and the tennis court, but please check the instructions in the house when you arrive about safety and booking slots.

The house is in Pattiswick, which is a hamlet. The nearest shop is about two miles away in Stisted. The nearest pub and restaurant is about three miles, in Shalford. You'll need a car.

If you want to go out, Braintree is close. Further afield, you can get to Colchester, Chelmsford, and Cambridge within an hour. The Essex coast at Mersea and Brightlingsea is about forty-five minutes.

As for facilities, it's got what you'd expect for a big group. Washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner, WiFi, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
