King's Cottage is a ground floor apartment on Castle Street in Wallingford. It's a one bedroom place for two people. It's self-contained but the small courtyard garden out the back is shared with the other flats in the building.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxury. Everything is on one level and the doorways are wide, so it works well if you have mobility issues or use a wheelchair.
You're right in the middle of town. There's a Co-op about a minute's walk away for basics. Plenty of pubs and cafes too, all very close. The river is about a hundred yards down the road. It's nice for a walk along the bank.
The apartment has a washing machine. TV and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets allowed.
Wallingford itself is a proper market town. The castle ruins are interesting to poke around. It gets used for filming Midsomer Murders sometimes. If you're here in summer, the outdoor swimming pool by the river is good.
You're on the edge of the Chilterns, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good for walks. The National Trust's Watlington Hill is nearby if you want to see the red kites. Oxford is about a 25 minute drive. Henley-on-Thames is about 20 minutes. Reading is maybe half an hour.
