The Cottage is in Berrick Salome. It's a thatched cottage, so that gives you an idea of the feel of it. It's a traditional spot, not modern.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are a typical old cottage style, so they're steep and a bit narrow. Just so you know.
The garden wraps around the place. It's enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. There's a patio bit too, with a BBQ.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove in a big inglenook fireplace. It's good on a cooler evening. There are beams, a dishwasher, wifi, and parking right there. All the bedding and towels are included.
The village has a pub. For shops, you'd go to Benson, which is just over a mile away. Wallingford is about four miles. It's got supermarkets and a high street. That's where Agatha Christie lived.
You can walk straight out onto footpaths from the cottage. For a good view, Watlington Hill is nearby and it's a National Trust site. Good for spotting red kites. The Chilterns countryside is right there too.
If you want to go further, Henley-on-Thames is about a twenty minute drive. Oxford is roughly half an hour. Didcot Parkway station is about eleven miles away if you need trains to London.
A few other local places if you're planning: Greys Court (National Trust) and the Aston Rowant National Nature Reserve.
