The Cottage is in Berrick Salome. It's a thatched cottage, so it looks how you think it should. It's all beams and low doors, nothing's square. The stairs are steep, and the main bedroom ceiling is sloped. That's just how it is.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and everything works, but it's not a show home. It's a cottage.
The garden wraps around. It's enclosed, so it's safe for a dog. There's a patio with chairs and a barbecue.
The village is quiet. There's a pub. For shops you'll need to go to Benson, which is just over a mile away, or Wallingford, about four miles.
You can walk straight out into the countryside from the door. For longer walks, the Chilterns are right there. Watlington Hill, which is National Trust, is about six miles away. Good for seeing red kites.
Wallingford is where Agatha Christie lived. It's got the shops and cafes. Henley-on-Thames is about a twenty minute drive. Oxford is roughly half an hour away. Didcot Parkway station is about eleven miles if you need to get a train to London.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove in the big fireplace. It's got a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the gravel.
You can bring one dog.
