3 Breckery is up at Staffin, on the Isle of Skye. It's a detached croft house from the 1870s. It stands on its own, so you've got a good bit of privacy and about a quarter of an acre of ground around it.
It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 3 Star, which fits. It's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. It's been refurbished but it's still an old croft house.
The main thing is the view. You look out from the hillside over the Sound of Raasay towards the Island of Rona and the Torridon mountains. You can sit outside and take it in. It's about half a mile to walk down to the coast. The nearest proper beach is two miles away, sand and shingle.
The place is good for wildlife. You'll see birds, maybe otters or deer if you're lucky. For walks, you're right there. The Quiraing is close by for some serious and dramatic scenery. For climbers, there's challenging stuff nearby too.
You're a bit out on your own. The nearest shop is about four miles away in Staffin. The nearest pub is seven miles, so you'll be driving. If you want a boat trip out to the Outer Hebrides, you can get those locally.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove for cosy nights, a washing machine, parking right there, and an enclosed garden. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
