Hirta Cottage is in Staffin, which is on the Isle of Skye, up at the north end. It's a modern semi-detached house. You can see the sea from here.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor, which is handy. It has a 4 Star rating.
The main room is open plan with windows looking out. There's a multi-fuel stove in there. The kitchen has everything you need, and a table to eat at. Outside, there's a verandah with chairs. You can park right next to it.
Staffin is a small village. There's a community shop that does takeaways sometimes, which is useful here. The beach at Staffin Bay is about a mile away. They've found dinosaur footprints there.
You're close to some of the big walks. The Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, and the Quiraing are all a short drive. The Quiraing is a proper walk, mind you. It's spectacular.
Portree is half an hour's drive south. That's where you'll find most of the restaurants, the main shops, and boat trips from the harbour. They often spot sea eagles on those.
For facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and Smart TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
If you're looking for information on walks or places to visit, Isle of Skye has a good site and so does the National Trust for Scotland.
