Hirta Cottage
Hirta Cottage is on the single track road near Staffin, on the Isle of Skye. It's a modern semi-detached house. You get good views from up there, out over the fields to the sea.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on one level at the front, so it's good for anyone who struggles with stairs. There's a ramp to the side door. The main bedroom and a shower room are down there. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. They've got Velux windows in the ceilings.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining table, sofas. Lots of windows so you can see the view from inside. There's a multi-fuel burner for heat and a Smart TV. The verandah outside is a decent size. You can sit out there if it's not too windy.
Staffin Bay is about a mile down the road. You can see dinosaur footprints there at low tide. There's a community shop in the village that does takeaways sometimes, and a restaurant just over the road.
You're well placed for the north of the island. The Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr are a short drive away. Portree is about half an hour's drive south for more shops and places to eat. Boat trips for wildlife go from there.
What's here: parking for two cars, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
