Storr Cottage is one of two cottages we have here in Brogaig, near Staffin. It's a detached cottage, so you're on your own. The other one, Quiraing, is more traditional looking. Storr is the modern one, with big floor-to-ceiling windows at the front.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Underfloor heating, a wood burner, that sort of thing. It's clean and looked after.
The view from the front windows is the whole point. You look straight out over Staffin Bay and the hills. It's very quiet here. We live nearby if you need anything.
You're right at the bottom of the Quiraing. You can walk up into it from here if you're feeling energetic. The landscape is dramatic, just like the photos. Staffin Beach is about a mile away, where the dinosaur footprints are. The local shop and the restaurant are about a mile away too. The nearest pub is in Uig, about nine miles.
If you want to explore, the whole island is there. Dunvegan Castle is about 45 minutes by car. The Old Man of Storr is a 20 minute drive. Portree is half an hour. You can drive a loop around the Trotternish peninsula from the door.
Facilities: there's parking right outside. An enclosed garden with a BBQ. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
