Storr Cottage

Brogaig Cottages are rather unique as they are built from corrugated steel and are architecturally designed, taking aspects from traditional crofters’ cottages into consideration with all up to date requirements. Quiraing is a more traditional design, keeping the appearance of a crofters’ cottage. The open plan living area is spacious, bright, stylishly furnished and equipped, with a multi-fuel burner and underfloor heating taking all your comforts into consideration. Storr has a more modern design, with a panoramic floor to ceiling window. These detached cottages are situated on a working croft in the crofting township of Brogaig-Staffin, at the foothills of the Quiraing which has the most dramatic landscape on Skye. Views over Staffin Bay and the hills beyond can be enjoyed from the comfort of the cottages. The owners who live nearby, are both local, native Gaelic speakers, and are on hand to assist with any queries and to give advice on places to go and see.
There is walking in the area to suit all abilities, from low level coastal to more challenging walking on the Trotternish Ridge. The famous dinosaur footprints on Staffin Beach are only a short walk from the cottages. An abundance of wildlife can be seen in the area, including eagles, fulmars, kestrels, otters, deer and so much more. The Staffin Museum is a must as it contains excellent collections of local geological and fossil specimens. There is so much to discover throughout the island, such as historic sites, castles, brochs, gardens, whisky distilleries, boat trips, pony trekking, kayaking and dramatic scenery and seascapes. Beach 1 mile. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub 3 miles.
Quiraing can be booked with Storr to accommodate up to 4 guests.
