This warm and welcoming cottage is situated in a peaceful location yet within an easy walk of the centre of Pitlochry. The attractive living room to the front with its wood burner is great for cosying up after a brisk walk while at the back of the house, the spacious kitchen with its high ceiling and dining area opens onto an enclosed decking area which in turn leads down to the terraced garden., Pitlochry itself is host to many exciting activities throughout the season, from the Festival Theatre, Salmon Ladder and Dam, to the very popular Enchanted Forest throughout October . Edradour, the smallest traditional distillery in Scotland, is just a short drive away and is well worth a visit, being the last stronghold of handmade single malt whisky from a farm distillery still in production. Superb golf courses abound in the area, and there is a multitude of other leisure opportunities nearby from lovely hill and glen walking to angling, birdwatching, riding and even white water rafting. Visit Blair Castle and Atholl Estate with its 145, 000 acres of hills, woodlands and open countryside just waiting to be explored. Recognised as an area of natural beauty with plenty to see and do, the estate was admitted into the Cairngorms National Park in 2010. Alternatively, the cities of Perth and Inverness are easily accessed via the A9 for good day trips out and about.
