The Roundhouse

These two fabulous properties situated on a working farm and accessed by a rough track, have been lovingly refurbished to a very high standard with an eye towards casual elegance. Set high above the Tummel valley in the heart of Perthshire, yet only a short drive to a good local restaurant and the popular tourist town of Pitlochry, both properties are designed with a close attention to detail showcasing their individual assets. The Roundhouse offers a boutique experience and is a delight, a perfect bolthole for couples wanting to recharge their batteries. The living room and bedroom are on the first floor, a spacious open plan area with Sonos sound system, Smart TV and supercomfy sofas where you can sit and look over the tree covered hills on the other side of the valley. It takes its name from the remains of the original building which was here and the private garden at the rear where you will want to spend your evenings relaxing after climbing the hills, cycling or doing any of the other outdoor activities for which the area is renowned.
The Cottage is all on one floor, with deep windowsills, and large arched window to the front, looking into the courtyard and with its own private garden through the archway beyond. Enjoy a glass of something while soaking up the sun and admiring the wonderful view over the hills down to the valley. With a double sofa bed in the study off the main bedroom, it can accommodate couples or families with children who may want their own room. Surrounded by the unparalleled natural beauty and tranquillity of the Tummel Valley and Ben Vrackie Mountain, there is no better place to relax and unwind.
Walking, bicycle trails, and fishing are available throughout the region, while the town of Pitlochry itself, only 2 miles, is host to many exciting activities throughout the season, from the Festival Theatre, Salmon Ladder and Dam, to the Enchanted Forest in October. Whisky lovers can visit nearby Edradour Distillery or Blair Athol in Pitlochry itself while Blair Castle and the House of Bruar are both worth a day trip combining history and retail therapy in grand surroundings.
