The Beehive is a one bedroom apartment on the first floor of our house. It's on a quiet lane in Buddileigh, Staffordshire. You get your own parking space next to the drive, and a small private patio area with a table and chairs. It sleeps two, has one bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen with the basics.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and comfortable but not high-end. The bed is a double. We provide the bedding and towels. There's WiFi and a TV.
The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, hob and oven. There's a washing machine too. The stairs up to the apartment are internal, they're fine but they're a bit steeper than a normal house.
There's a local shop and a pub about half a mile away. A gastro pub is a bit further. The area is good for walking and cycling, and we have bike storage if you need it.
It's a good base for seeing things. Nantwich is about 15 minutes by car. It's an old town with timbered buildings and an outdoor salt water pool open in summer. Stoke-on-Trent, for the potteries and the Emma Bridgewater factory, is about 20 minutes away. Alton Towers is within an hour's drive. For a day out further afield, Chester is about an hour away, and you can get into North Wales from there.
