This is The Stables. It's on our farm, Domvilles Farm, in Park End. It's a dairy farm, so you'll see the cows. It's quiet here.
The place was a stable originally, but it's been done up. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with four-poster beds and their own bathrooms. There’s a living area with a modern electric fire and a kitchen that has what you need. The patio looks out over the fields.
It’s a 3 Star rating. That means it’s comfortable and clean. It’s also wheelchair accessible at the entrance, which is good to know.
The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in Maer. Newcastle-under-Lyme is a bit further for bigger shops, about seven miles. Keele University is close, maybe four miles.
If you’re planning days out, Alton Towers is probably the main one for a lot of people, it’s about a 25 minute drive. The Peak District is roughly half an hour north if you want walking. Trentham Gardens is about 25 minutes the other way, towards Stoke. For something historical, the Ironbridge Gorge museums are worth a trip, that’s around 45 minutes. You can get to a train station fairly easily if you wanted to go into Manchester or Birmingham for the day.
On the farm here, we’ve included all the utilities, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding is provided. There’s parking right outside. Sorry, no pets.
For more information on the area, the Peak District National Park website is useful.
