The Pigsty

The Pigsty is on our dairy farm at Park End. The name is literal, it used to be one, but it's been done up. It's got two bedrooms, both with king size beds and their own bathrooms. Sleeps four.

You're on a working farm, so you'll see cows. The views over to Cheshire are good. There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen is small but has what you need. The conservatory is a nice spot, and leads out to a patio with seating. The garden is mostly a lawn.

It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and comfortable, not high-end. The entrance and main rooms are all on one level and are wheelchair accessible. There's parking right outside.

You can bring two dogs. There are fields to walk them in, but you have to keep them on a lead around the livestock, obviously.

The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in Whitmore. Newcastle-under-Lyme is seven miles for bigger shops. Keele University is close, about four miles.

For a day out, Alton Towers is roughly half an hour's drive. Trentham Gardens is about the same. The Peak District National Park starts about 30 minutes north. The Potteries museums are within that range too. Ironbridge is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.

Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, wood for the burner, bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there.
