This is Murlin. It's a detached house in Collieston, up on the hill. The view is the main thing. You look out over the village and the sea.
It's a 5 Star place, sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, they all have their own shower room. There's a wet room on the ground floor too. Everything is on one level upstairs, except it's the top floor. The living room, kitchen and dining area are all up there. The ceiling is high and the windows are big, so you get the light and the view from inside. Doors open onto a balcony.
Downstairs, there are two bedrooms and a utility room. There's an integral garage. We've put dog crates in there and a shower, so you can wash dogs or wellies off. The garden is enclosed.
Collieston is a small village. The beach is a few minutes' walk down the lane. It's that shingle and rock sort of beach. For a big sandy beach, Cruden Bay or Balmedie are about ten miles away. The shop is six miles, in Ellon. There's a pub and restaurant about five minutes down the road.
You can walk along the coast path from the house. Newburgh, where you see the seals, is a short drive. The golf at Cruden Bay is good. The Trump course is near there too. Aberdeen is about sixteen miles if you need the city.
Things here: it's all on one level upstairs so it works if someone has limited mobility, but there is an external step up to the front door. The driveway is steep. There's parking. Bicycle storage. Washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels included. It's fine for dogs, we take up to two. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
For planning, the NatureScot site is useful for local walks and reserves. The National Trust for Scotland has properties like Castle Fraser nearby.
