Under Willows is a shepherd's hut in Great Glen, Leicestershire. It's a posh, proper glamping setup that sleeps two, built in 2019. So it's modern, but done up to look like a traditional hut.
There's one bedroom and a full-sized shower room, which is better than the usual tiny wet room you often get. The main area is open plan with a kitchen, table, and seating.
Outside, you've got your own decked area. There's a hot tub, a chiminea for keeping warm, and a hammock. The hut is set in a large, landscaped garden, but you get your own private bit.
It's on the same site as a bigger cottage called Hare's Furrow. You might see other guests coming and going, but the hut feels quite separate. They can be booked together if you're a bigger group.
The village has a pub and a restaurant about a quarter of a mile away. The nearest shop is a mile away in the other direction, so you'll want to drive.
You're about eight miles from Leicester. Market Harborough is a bit closer, maybe ten minutes by car. For a day out, Foxton Locks is interesting. It's about eight miles away. You can walk along the canal and watch the boats going through the flight of locks.
Further afield, Rutland Water is good for a walk or a cycle. It's about half an hour's drive. For National Trust places, Lyveden is probably the closest and most impressive. Stoneywell is good too, but you need to book well ahead.
Things you've got here: your own parking, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included, and there's a BBQ.
