Pheasant Lodge
This is Pheasant Lodge at Springbrook Farm, just outside Billesdon in Leicestershire. It's one of two wooden lodges here. They're both single-storey, so everything's on one level. Detached, so you've got your own space.
It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's not a hotel. It's a lodge.
The main room is open plan: kitchen, dining area, and sitting area together. There's a TV and Wi-Fi. Outside, there's a private patio with a table and chairs. And there's a hot tub. You look out over fields. The view is of Billesdon Coplow, which is that wooded hill you can see for miles around.
You can bring one dog. The owner also has stabling and a paddock if you wanted to bring a horse, which is a bit different.
Location wise, it's properly rural. You can walk straight out from the door into the countryside. For a bigger walk or a cycle, Rutland Water is about a 20-25 minute drive. They've got watersports and birdwatching there too.
Market Harborough is the closest proper town, about 15 minutes by car. It's got nice shops and places to eat. Leicester city centre is under half an hour away if you need shops or the National Space Centre. For a day out, the University of Leicester Botanic Garden in Oadby is about 20 minutes away.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, parking, Wi-Fi. There's a washing machine. The hot tub is there for you to use.
