Hare's Furrow

Hare's Furrow is that house I built a few years ago out near Great Glen. It's detached, so you've got your own space. The garden is big and fenced, which is good if you've got kids with you. It's all open plan inside, with wooden beams.

It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's the main thing, I think. No queuing for the shower. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's new, so everything works and it's well insulated.

There's a pub about a five minute walk away. They do food. The nearest shop for a paper or milk is about a mile away in the village.

You're about eight miles from Leicester city centre if you need the shops or want to see a game. Market Harborough is the same distance the other way, which is a nice market town. Foxton Locks is worth a trip, about eight miles. You can walk along the canal there.

If you want a day out, Rutland Water is half an hour's drive. You can cycle or walk around it. The National Space Centre in Leicester is good for kids. There are a few National Trust places within reach if that's your thing, like Lyveden or Stoneywell.

Facilities: there's a hot tub in the garden, and one of those chiminea fire bowls. A washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, all the bedding and towels are included. There's parking for a few cars on the drive. It's wheelchair friendly to get in, and the main living area is all on one level. We have a cot and highchair if you need them.

No pets, I'm afraid.
