The Old Workshop

The Old Workshop is, as it says, an old workshop on our farm. We've converted it. It's detached and sits in the middle of the fields. You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and chickens about. There are public footpaths right from the door.

It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and they all have their own bathroom, which is handy with a big group. The space is open plan inside, with high ceilings and beams. It's got a 5 Star rating.

The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids. There's parking right there. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Bedding and towels are included. We don't allow pets.

The local village, Alderminster, is about a mile's walk down the lane. There's a good pub there that does food. There's also a farm shop selling local produce.

Stratford-upon-Avon is six miles away. That's where you go for Shakespeare's places, the theatre, and the shops. It's a nice town to wander around.

Within about half an hour you can get to Warwick Castle, or into the Cotswolds. Places like Chipping Campden or Bourton-on-the-Water are easy to visit. A bit further, but still under an hour, you've got Oxford, Worcester, or Cheltenham.

For planning days out, these sites are useful: National Trust Midlands and Shakespeare's England.
