Right, this is Cottage in the Pond. It's on a plot at the edge of Garton, which is about a ten minute drive from Driffield.
It's a detached cottage. It's a modern one, a timber kind of lodge, because it's built up over a pond. Hence the name. That's the main thing about it. You've got these glass doors that open out onto a decking area right over the water.
The inside is all open-plan. Kitchen, living area, dining table, it's all one space. There's one bedroom and a bathroom. It says it sleeps four, which is because there's a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the main living space. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It's on a single level once you're inside, so no stairs. There's parking right by the door. The facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
Outside, there's decking with a table and chairs and a BBQ. It looks out over the pond and fields. The garden is fenced. There's a little kids' play area on the plot.
Pets are allowed. Up to three, which is more than most places.
For walks, you can pick up the Yorkshire Wolds Way from a few points nearby. Beverley and its Minster are about twenty minutes away by car. The coast at Hornsea or Bridlington is about half an hour's drive.
