Cottage In The Pond
Cottage in the Pond is in Garton, near Driffield. It’s a detached property, so no immediate neighbours.
There’s a main mezzanine bedroom sleeping four, and a sofa bed downstairs, so it works for a family or two couples. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s open plan on the ground floor and feels quite spacious. There’s one bathroom.
It’s good for dogs, as up to three are allowed. There’s an enclosed garden they can’t get out of.
The cottage is right by a pond, which is nice to look at. There are a few fish in it. Inside, it’s practical – washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking. There’s a BBQ and a little play area outside for kids.
Garton is a quiet village. For shops, pubs or a decent coffee, you’ll need to head into Driffield, which is about ten minutes by car.
From there, you’re well placed for the Wolds. Good walking country. You can pick up the Yorkshire Wolds Way nearby. Beverley is about a twenty minute drive; the Minster is worth seeing. The coast at Hornsea or Bridlington is roughly half an hour away.
