Stables Cottage is in Fitling. It's a converted barn in the yard of the main farmhouse. It's peaceful here, just fields mostly. It's all on one level which makes it straightforward.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well looked after. The ceilings are high with the old beams still showing. There's a Velux window in the bedroom which lets in a lot of light.
You've got a wood burner in the living room, a kitchen with what you need, and a patio outside with a bench. There's parking right by the door. We can take up to two dogs. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity, and the wifi.
The local pub is about half a mile away. They do food. The nearest shop is a few miles away in Aldbrough, so it's worth arriving with your basics.
The coast is about three miles east. Mappleton Sands is a good dog-friendly beach. Hornsea is a bit further north, with its Mere for birdwatching and a Freeport shopping centre. If you want a bigger day out, Hull is about twelve miles. The Deep is there if you like that sort of thing.
For walking, you're on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. The Yorkshire Wolds Way national trail isn't far. For history, Burton Constable Hall is close by, and Beverley with its Minster is about a thirty minute drive.
That's about it. It's a quiet, comfortable spot for two people to use as a base.
