Cooks Cottage Somerby

Cooks Cottage is in Somerby, down a quiet lane on the edge of the village. We live next door, so we're nearby if you need anything.

It's a 4 Star place, sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The living room has a wood burner, which is good in winter. You can use part of our garden, which gets the sun in the afternoon.

We accept one well-behaved dog. The entrance and the downstairs are level, so it's okay for someone with limited mobility. Stabling is available if you want to bring a horse.

Somerby has a village shop and a pub, both a short walk away. The countryside starts at the end of the lane. You can walk straight out from the cottage.

Melton Mowbray is about five miles. They've got supermarkets and the famous pork pies. Oakham is a similar distance. Rutland Water is just past Oakham. You can walk or cycle the full circuit, or try sailing and other water sports there. The Rutland Water website has all the details.

Further afield, Leicester is about half an hour's drive for shopping or the National Space Centre. Belvoir Castle and Burghley House are both around forty minutes away.

In the cottage you've got a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking. All bedding and towels are included.
