Cooks Cottage is in Somerby, Leicestershire. It's down a quiet lane. I live next door, in the main house.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's 4 Star, so it's well kept and comfortable. The living room has a wood burner. There's a garden area you can use, which is part of my garden really, but it's for you while you're here.
The stairs are a bit steep. The front door has a small step. It's listed as wheelchair accessible for the entrance, but it's just a threshold step, not a full ramp. Something to be aware of.
Somerby is a proper village. It's got a shop and a couple of pubs. The countryside right from the doorstep is the main thing. You can walk straight out onto footpaths and bridleways. If you're bringing a horse, I can sort stabling.
Melton Mowbray is about five miles. That's where you go for supermarkets and the famous pork pies. Oakham is a similar distance the other way. Then just past Oakham is Rutland Water. It's a big reservoir. You can walk or cycle around it, or do sailing and other water sports. It's about a 20 minute drive.
Leicester city centre is around 16 miles if you need shopping or the National Space Centre. Places like Belvoir Castle or Burghley House are within a half hour drive.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, Wi-Fi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
