Birch Byre is located in the far North-West of Skye near Glendale, and sits in the owners’ extensive croft garden sheltered by a copse of trees. It has been transformed from a 19th century cow shed into a modern hideaway with clever interior and exterior design.
Furnished and equipped to a high standard, as soon as you pull up at Birch Byre are sure to be impressed. As you step inside, immediately on your right is a spacious shower room with large double shower. The rest of the byre is an open-plan studio with beautiful interior design throughout. There’s a kingsize double bed, a comfy wee sofa to watch TV, a nice dining area and a stylish kitchen for rustling up meals after long days out exploring the island. It’s a lovely space to rest and recharge after and for more Skye adventures.
Glendale is a little hub only a short walk away from Birch Byre where you can find a great café and a shop. A short walk away from the property is the coast where you can look out across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides. Another great viewing point nearby is Neist Point Lighthouse, one of Skye’s most exciting places to visit. Other places nearby that are worth visiting and exploring include Dunvegan Castle, Coral Beach, the Talisker Distillery, the Cuillins and of course Trotternish with The Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing. Being in the north of Skye you are within easy reach of the world-famous sights the island is well known for.
