Glenmeanich Cottage
Glenmeanich Cottage is in Strathconon, up near Grudie. It’s a detached place, so it’s just you and the views. The garden slopes down to the River Meig. You can hear it from the house.
It sleeps nine people in five bedrooms, but there's only one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s well equipped, and there’s a woodburner for chilly evenings.
It really is a get-away-from-it-all spot. The shop, pub, and nearest restaurant are about 15 miles away, so you need to plan your trips. The glen itself is stunning, great for walking. You’ll see plenty of wildlife.
You’re well placed for touring around. Loch Ness is a bit over half an hour’s drive for a boat trip. The North and West coasts, and the Whisky Trail distilleries, are all within reach for a day out.
The facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking, and a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets though.
