Gate Lodge is up in Grudie. It's a detached cottage on the Strathconon Estate, part of the Scardroy Estate. Very quiet up here. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's finished to a good standard.
Sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both are upstairs. One has a kingsize bed that can split into two singles if you need that. The other is a twin room. Just the one shower room, also upstairs. It has a walk-in shower.
Downstairs, there's a kitchen with a dining table by the window. The view from there is over the water. There's a snug with a sofa bed if you need it, a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a separate toilet.
There's no internet and mobile signal is basically non-existent. We've left a landline phone you can use. It's just how it is up here.
Outside, there's a garden area with seating. You can park right there.
The place is good for walking straight from the door. You're in proper Highlands scenery. For a drive, the coast at Loch Carron or Loch Torridon is about half an hour. Inverness is just under an hour if you need a bigger town.
Facilities: Woodburning stove, dishwasher, TV, all bedding and towels are included, parking. No pets.
