Braigh Na Leitre is a detached cottage at the far end of the Strathconon glen. It's very remote. You're on a working farm, surrounded by fields and hills. The view from the front is just mountains, trees, and the valley. It's quiet.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The place is spacious. It's got a wood burning stove, which is nice in the evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
There's an enclosed garden. It's not massive, but it's yours and it's secure if you've brought kids. We can provide a cot and a highchair.
You need to come prepared. The nearest shop, pub, or restaurant is in Contin, about 15 miles away. That's a 25-30 minute drive. So you'll do your big shop on the way in.
If you're staying put, you're here for the landscape. You can walk straight out from the door. There's river fishing on the estate. You'll see deer and birds of prey.
For days out, you're well placed for the north and west Highlands. Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle are about an hour's drive. Inverness is roughly the same. The Black Isle, Cromarty, and Beauly are all within about 40 minutes. If you want a proper mountain, Ben Wyvis is a 30 minute drive.
