Roe Cottage is in the middle of Hadleigh. It's a new-build cottage done in 2021, so everything works and it's well insulated. You won't be dealing with any ancient boilers or draughty windows.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burner in the living room, which is nice in the colder months. Outside is a private courtyard garden with a table and chairs.
You can bring two dogs. There's parking right there.
Hadleigh is a proper market town. The high street is about a minute's walk away. There are a few pubs, some cafes, and a mix of shops. The local supermarket is a two-minute walk. The cottage is right opposite the cricket green, which is one of the oldest in the country.
For walking, you can pick up the path along the River Brett from the town, or walk the old railway line towards Raydon.
Within half an hour's drive you've got a few options. Lavenham is about twenty minutes away. It's a medieval wool town, very pretty, with crooked old buildings. They used it in the Harry Potter films. National Trust Lavenham has more on that. Flatford Mill is about the same distance, that's Constable country. Or you can go the other way to Jimmy's Farm, which is just outside Ipswich.
The Suffolk coast, places like Southwold or Aldeburgh, is about a 45-minute drive if you fancy fish and chips by the sea.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. All the bedding and towels are included. If you're coming with another family, there are two other cottages right next door that you can book together.
