Cleughbrae Cottage is just outside Kendoon, up a quiet lane. It's detached so you won't hear anyone else. The views from up there are really good. You look out over fields and hills.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one has a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well looked after and comfortable. The rooms are a good size.
The garden is enclosed, so it's secure. There's a patio area and a barbecue. You can store bikes. It's got a woodburning stove for the colder nights, and wifi if you need it. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The location is quiet. The nearest shop and pub are in Dalry, about three miles away. You're right on the Southern Upland Way if you like walking. It's a big area for mountain biking, with several of the 7Stanes trails within a half hour drive.
Castle Douglas is about sixteen miles north. Ayr is about thirty miles south, on the coast. You're not far from the Galloway Forest Park, which is a Dark Sky Park. Good for stargazing if the night is clear.
