Cleughbrae Cottage

Cleughbrae Cottage is in Kendoon. It's a detached house up a private lane, so it's quiet. You get a good view over the fields from up there.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom has a shower, the other a bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-kept, not modern-luxe. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a woodburning stove for colder evenings.

The garden is enclosed. There's a patio with a BBQ and you can sit outside. There's also a shed you can lock bikes in.

You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair.

You need a car. The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away in Dalry. They're fine. For a bigger shop, Castle Douglas is about sixteen miles north.

If you're here to walk, you're on the Southern Upland Way. It's right there. It's also a good base for the 7 Stanes mountain biking trails. For stargazing, it's near the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park.

Ayr and the coast are about half an hour south. If you want to go towards the hills, you're not far from the Southern Uplands proper.
