Swallow Lodge
Swallow Lodge is in Carsphairn. It's a detached lodge on its own, so it's quiet. The view from the front is fields and hills. Nothing but fields and hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern inside. There's a woodburning stove for the evenings. You can bring one dog.

The nearest shop is about a mile away in the village. For a pub or a restaurant, you're looking at an eight mile drive. You'll need a car.
It's a good spot for getting out. There are mountain biking trails all around here. For walking, the Southern Upland Way goes right past. If you want the coast, it's about a 45 minute drive to places like Ayr. The Ayrshire Coastal Path is long, but you can just do a section.
Dumfries is about half an hour south. Glasgow is just over an hour if you need a city. Edinburgh is a bit further.
Other things: there's a washing machine, bike storage, and a TV. The patio gets the sun in the afternoon.
