Swallow Lodge is in Carsphairn. It's a detached wooden lodge on its own, so no neighbours attached. You get your own garden, which is fenced.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and has everything you'd need. It's got a wood burning stove for the colder nights.
It's a quiet spot. You're looking out at hills. There's a shop about a mile away. The nearest pub is in the next village, about eight miles.
You're right for walking and mountain biking straight from the door. The Southern Upland Way goes through the area. For the coast, it's about a 45 minute drive to places like Ayr or the Galloway coast.
Glasgow is just over an hour's drive if you want a city day. Edinburgh and Carlisle are a bit further, maybe an hour and a half.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, and parking right outside. There's also an electric vehicle charger. You can bring one dog.
