Cuckoo’s Nest

Cuckoo's Nest is a detached cottage on a croft by Loch Ewe. It's in Cove, which is in Wester Ross. You're looking out over the loch. It's very quiet.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms. One bathroom with a bath and a big shower. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable. The stairs are normal.

The living room has a big window for the view. There's an open fire and a TV. We leave some board games. The kitchen has what you'd need: cooker, dishwasher, slow cooker. There's a utility room for boots and wet coats.

The garden is yours. There's parking.

You can take two dogs. The croft has sheep, so they need to be on a lead outside the garden.

From the door, you can walk along the shore. There's a small bay and a slipway about five minutes away. You can launch kayaks from there. You see otters and seals sometimes. You can fish for mackerel.

Firemore Beach is a mile away. It's a good red sand beach.

Poolewe is eight miles for a shop and a couple of places to eat. Inverewe Garden is there too. Gairloch is about eight miles further on. The area is part of the Wester Ross National Scenic Area.

There's local history about the wartime convoys. You can see old bunkers on the coast.

Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. WiFi works.
