Rascal Wood
This is Rascal Wood. It's a big detached farmhouse out near Holme-on-Spalding Moor, on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. You're next to the old farm buildings and you look out over our arable fields. It's a working farm, so you'll see tractors and things depending on the season. It's very quiet.
The house sleeps fourteen. Seven bedrooms, five bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside, so it's light and modern, but it's a proper old farmhouse so the space is good for a big group. There's underfloor heating and an open fire.
The garden is lawned, with a patio and some seating. You can bring two dogs. There's parking on the drive and an electric vehicle charger. It's all on one level so the entrance is wheelchair accessible, but it's a period building so some doorways inside might be a bit tight.
In the house you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV, and a games room. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
The village is about two miles away, or a twenty minute walk across the moor if you fancy it. It's got shops, pubs, a bakery, and places to eat. The area is good for walking and cycling, lots of quiet lanes. There's local fishing, golf, and clay shooting if you want to arrange it.
For days out, Beverley is twenty minutes by car. You can get to Hull for The Deep aquarium, or York for the Minster and Jorvik Centre in under an hour. The coast at Bridlington, Filey, and Scarborough is within easy reach, as is the North York Moors.
