Acorn Barn is in Laytham, which is in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It's a detached barn conversion. The garden is enclosed, which is useful if you have dogs or kids.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It feels solid and well looked after.
You should know about the stairs. They're open-tread and a bit steep. They're fine if you're steady on your feet, but you need to be careful.
It's on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and tractors going about. It's quiet, but not completely silent. For a proper walk, you can just go straight out from the door onto the footpaths.
The local pub is about half a mile away. It's a proper village pub. They do food.
York is about a 30 minute drive if you want a day out in the city. The coast, like Bridlington or Filey, is about 40 minutes away. For a big day out, the North York Moors are just over an hour's drive.
Facilities: it's got everything you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right there.
