Haddocks Nook
Haddocks Nook is a converted barn near Aldwark. It's all on one floor which is handy. It's detached and you're on your own out there, just fields and woods.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's well looked after and comfortable.
The place is very quiet. You'll see red kites, deer, that sort of thing. It feels remote but you're not far from things. The local pub is about a mile away. The nearest shop is a few miles, so you'll want to bring your groceries.
You can fish in the pond on the property, no charge. There's an enclosed garden and parking right there.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. Thirsk is close. York, Harrogate and Ripon are about half an hour away. The coast at Scarborough or Whitby is maybe 45 minutes. The Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors are both easy to reach for a day out.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and TV. All bedding and towels are included. There's storage for bikes if you bring them. No pets allowed.
