Springbank
Springbank is in Edinbane, up in the Isle of Skye. It's a detached house we had built about fifteen years ago. It sits by itself, looking out over Loch Greshornish and the fields. It's very quiet up here.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom attached. That's the main thing people like about it. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's warm and dry, which is the main thing you want here.
There's a pub that does food about a mile down the road in Edinbane. For a proper shop, you'll need to go to Portree. That's about a 15-minute drive. They've got supermarkets, a swimming pool, and the harbour for boat trips. Dunvegan is about 20 minutes the other way for the castle and the coral beach.
The whole island is basically one big walk. You can drive to Neist Point for the lighthouse, or the Old Man of Storr, or the Quiraing. All within half an hour. The Talisker distillery is about 40 minutes away if that's your sort of thing.
What's there: A wood burner, which we leave you some logs for. A dishwasher and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a garden with a patio. Plenty of parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
