High Ranachan Campbeltown

High Ranachan is our place near Campbeltown. It's a detached farmhouse on our sheep and arable farm. You'll see the fields, the hills, and the sea across to Northern Ireland on a clear day. It's quiet.

The house sleeps seven in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. One has a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs inside are steep and a bit narrow, just so you know.

You're on a working farm, so there are sheep in the fields. The garden is yours to use. We've put in a washing machine, dishwasher, and there's WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs.

For basics, the nearest shop and a pub are about two miles away in Campbeltown. The town has a few shops, a leisure centre, a cinema, and some decent places to eat. There are three distilleries there if you like whisky.

The beach at Machrihanish is about six miles. It's a long, sandy beach, good for walks. For a proper swim, it's bracing. It's known for windsurfing. You're right on the Kintyre Way if you like walking or cycling.

You can get ferries from nearby to the islands like Gigha, Islay, or Arran for a day trip. Dolphins and seals are sometimes seen from the coast. For local history, the National Trust for Scotland has places nearby, and there's the Campbeltown Heritage Centre.
