High Ranachan
High Ranachan is a farmhouse about six miles outside Campbeltown, on the Mull of Kintyre. It's a working farm with sheep and some crops.
The house sleeps seven. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. It's detached and you get the garden to yourselves. The views are good, over fields and out to sea, towards Northern Ireland on a clear day.
The place is pretty exposed up here. It gets windy, which is just part of it. The roads are single track to get to the house.
You're on the Kintyre Way, so it's great for walking or cycling straight from the door. The coast and beaches are close. Machrihanish beach is about six miles away and is known for surfing. There are five golf courses on the peninsula.
Campbeltown has shops, a leisure centre, a cinema, and places to eat. There are also three distilleries there if you like whisky. The ferry ports for islands like Islay, Gigha, and Arran aren't far. They make for a good day trip.
Inside, it's got a woodburning stove, WiFi, and a TV. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to three dogs.
