Wheatfield House
Wheatfield House is on our sheep farm, down a quiet lane. It's a modern detached house, quite big. The views from the front are over fields towards Arran, which is nice when the weather's clear.
It sleeps nine people in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. We allow up to two dogs.
The village of Kilmaurs is a short walk away, maybe ten or fifteen minutes. There's a shop for basics and a restaurant. The local pub is about a mile.
Being on a farm, you'll see sheep. Sometimes you hear tractors. The garden is enclosed and there's a patio with a BBQ.
Inside, there's a games room with a pool table, a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. The entrance and the ground floor bathroom are wheelchair accessible. We provide bedding, towels, a cot and a highchair.
You're well placed for getting about. Ayr, Prestwick and Troon are all about twenty minutes by car. They've got sandy beaches and golf courses. For a proper day out, Culzean Castle is brilliant, and it's not far. Dumfries House is another good one.
Glasgow is easy to get to, about half an hour in the car or you can get the train from Kilwinning. If you want hills and lochs, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is less than an hour away.
