Honeysuckle Cottage is in Irvine, in Ayrshire. It's a terraced cottage, one of a row of old miner's cottages. It's in a quiet conservation area, surrounded by fields.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a woodburning stove for the colder months. The stairs are steep. That's just how these cottages are built.
You can bring one dog. There's an outdoor tap and a paved area at the back to wash muddy paws. It's a small, enclosed patio with a table and chairs.
The local shop and a pub are about a mile away. The pub does food. Irvine itself is a short drive. It has a harbour, shops, and a big sandy beach. The beach is about five miles from the cottage.
You're well placed for the coast. Troon, Prestwick, and Ayr are all within a 20 minute drive. Troon has the Royal Troon golf course. The Ayrshire Coastal Path is right on the doorstep if you like walking. You can see Arran from the coast on a clear day.
If you want to go further, Glasgow is about half an hour by car. You can also get the train from Irvine. Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is about 40 minutes north.
In the cottage there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking for one car on the street outside. Bedding and towels are included.
