This is Stable Cottage. It's in Stewarton in Ayrshire. The cottage is detached. It used to be a stable, hence the name. You can see the old stonework inside. There's one main bedroom upstairs with a double bed and a sofa bed downstairs, so it sleeps four.
It's down a quiet lane by the river. It's peaceful. You can sit outside on the patio. There's an enclosed garden. There's also a hot tub. It's private, at the side of the cottage. It's just there if you want to use it.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. It's all on one level except for the stairs up to the bedroom. They're normal stairs, not a ladder or anything. The main living area is open plan. It's wheelchair friendly, but you'd need to check the specifics.
Stewarton town is about a mile away. You can walk it. There are a few shops, cafes and a couple of pubs. One of the pubs lets dogs in. The nearest big beach is about eight miles. The Ayrshire coast is good. It's a mix of proper beaches and rocky bits. You can walk the coastal path for miles.
If you want to get out and about, there's plenty. Golf is big here – Turnberry and Royal Troon aren't far. There's a place called Craufurdland Castle nearby. They do things like tree top trails and archery. Culzean Castle is a National Trust park. It's good for a walk. Dumfries House is worth a look too. You can get a ferry over to Arran from Ardrossan, which is probably half an hour's drive.
Glasgow is less than an hour in the car if you need a city. Edinburgh is a bit further, maybe an hour and a half.
In terms of what's here, you've got parking right outside. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. WiFi works fine. Bedding and towels are included. We can put out a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
