Inverspey
Inverspey is a bungalow in Spey Bay. It's detached, so no one's attached to you. You get the whole garden, which looks out over fields towards the hills and the sea. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with kingsize beds and their own bathrooms. One has a walk-in shower, the other has a bath. It's been done up recently so everything feels quite new and solid. There's a wood burner in the living room. The big doors open right out onto the deck if the weather's good.
There’s a second deck at the side of the house with chairs. We call it the Prosecco deck. It gets the evening sun and you can see the sea from there.
The Scottish Dolphin Centre is literally a couple of minutes walk away. You can see dolphins from the shore sometimes. They run bat walks and things. The beach is shingle and it's huge. You're right on the Spey Bay golf course, which is a links course. Guests get a discount.
For shops, you'll need to drive. Fochabers is about six miles. There's a pub that does food a few hundred yards from the cottage.
If you want to go out, the Malt Whisky Trail is all around here. You're about half an hour from Elgin, maybe forty minutes to Cullen and that coast. For a bigger day out, the Cairngorms are under an hour's drive.
Facilities: it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs. Parking is right outside.
