Blueacres Skirling

This is Blueacres. It's an apartment attached to our house, out here in Skirling. The place is single storey so everything is on the ground floor. It's for two people - one bedroom, one bathroom with a shower.

You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. We live next door and we've got a few sheep. The view from the garden is just fields and hills. It's quiet.

It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well kept. There's a washing machine, parking, and the wifi works. We include the bedding and towels.

We accept one dog. The garden is enclosed but you'd need to keep an eye on them because of the livestock.

You're right out in the country. For a shop or a pub, you drive to Broughton. That's about three miles. It's a small village with a brewery. Biggar is a bit further, maybe four or five miles. It's a proper market town with good local shops.

You can walk straight from the door. The hills around here, like Broughton Heights, give you good views. If you cycle, the famous Glentress trails are about seventeen miles from here. There's also fishing nearby if that's your thing.

You can get to Edinburgh or Glasgow in under an hour. Using the park and ride makes it easier. Peebles is about fifteen miles away for a day out.
