Blueacres
Blueacres is in Skirling, Lanarkshire. It's a single-storey apartment attached to the side of our house. We're on a smallholding with a few sheep. It looks out over fields and hills.
It sleeps two in one bedroom. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's modern and comfortable. You're welcome to bring one well-behaved dog.
The place is all on the ground floor. There's a washing machine. Heating and electricity are included. You can use your own private, enclosed garden area. We've got parking right outside.
Biggar is about three miles away. It's a nice market town with good local food shops and a folk museum. There's a shop and a restaurant there too. The village of Broughton is also three miles. They have a brewery, a tea room, and a pub that opens at weekends.
You can start some good walks or cycles straight from the door. The Tweed Valley is a short drive. Glentress mountain bike trails are about seventeen miles away. For fishing, there are local spots we can tell you about. A golf course is nearby.
Peebles is fifteen miles, Edinburgh and Glasgow are both within an hour's drive if you fancy a day out.
