Nettlebush Cottage

Nettlebush Cottage is on our farm in Drumelzier. It's detached, so you've got your own space. The cottage is for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well kept.

It's a working sheep farm. You'll see us going about our business sometimes, but you've got your own garden and patio. The garden is steep. It's not a flat lawn, it's a natural bank. The view from the patio looks down to the River Tweed and the hills. It's good to sit out there in the morning.

Inside, it's light. The living room has French doors out to the patio. There's a wood burner. It's cosy. You get bedding and towels included. There's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. We've got an electric vehicle charger now too. You can bring one dog.

You can walk straight from the door onto the farm tracks and paths. The John Buchan Way starts a couple of miles away in Broughton if you want a proper route. For fishing, there are beats on the Tweed. The mountain biking at Glentress is about twenty minutes' drive.

Dawyck Botanic Garden is close by. Stobo Castle Spa is nearby if that's your thing. For shops and places to eat, you need to drive. Peebles and Biggar are both about fifteen minutes away. They've got pubs, restaurants, and supermarkets. The nearest pub is about eight and a half miles.

Edinburgh is an hour's drive north. It's a straightforward route. The Festival in August is busy, but it's a good time to go if you want that atmosphere.
