Tweedford Cottage
Tweedford Cottage is on our farm in Drumelzier. It's detached and overlooks the River Tweed. There's an enclosed garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It got a 4 Star rating after we upgraded it a couple of years ago. It's all on the ground floor, which is helpful. The doorways and shower are wheelchair accessible. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
The main room has the kitchen, dining, and living space all together. Big windows look out at the river. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and there's a separate utility room with the washing machine.
You can bring one dog. The garden is fully enclosed so they can't wander off. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
The location is quiet. You're between Peebles and Biggar. It's good for fishing on the Tweed, or walking straight from the door. There's local golf and horse riding too.
Edinburgh is about 40 minutes by car if you want a city day. Glasgow is just over an hour. For local history and walks, the National Trust for Scotland has a few properties nearby, like Neidpath Castle. The Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park is within half an hour for more walking.
