This is Coachmans Cottage in Wark. It's one of two cottages next to each other, converted from old stables. They're in the garden of the main house, which is a Georgian rectory. It's quiet out here, just fields.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, but not a luxury hotel. The room is open plan downstairs.
You've got a woodburning stove for when it's cold. There's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. The bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and a private, enclosed patio area. There's also a bike store if you bring yours.
The village of Wark is about half a mile away. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there. They're decent.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The Pennine Way is about a mile away. It's very dark at night here, which is good for stargazing.
By car, Hexham and Corbridge are about 20 minutes. Hadrian's Wall is easy to get to from there. The coast, like Bamburgh, is about an hour. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are a bit less than that. Kielder Water is also under an hour. Scotland and the Lake District are both possible for a day trip, but it's a good couple of hours driving.
