This is Vitamin Sea. It's in Felixstowe. A three-storey end-terrace house, not far from the seafront.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom is up in the loft with an ensuite, and it has a clear view of the sea. The other two are on the first floor. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs to the top floor are fairly steep, just so you know.
There's a decked garden out the back, enclosed for privacy. It gets the sun later in the day. You can step right out to it from the kitchen.
The main thing is the location. You're a short walk from the promenade and the beach. The promenade runs for miles, good for walking or cycling. There are the classic beach huts along it. The beach itself is sandy and shelly.
In town, there's the usual seafront stuff: the Spa Pavilion for shows, the Edwardian gardens, shops, and places to eat. The ferry to Harwich and Shotley leaves from the port if you fancy a trip across the water.
If you drive, Sutton Hoo is about twenty minutes away. That's the Anglo-Saxon burial site run by the National Trust. Orford Ness and its castle are about half an hour north, also National Trust. For a bigger day out, Southwold and Aldeburgh are up the coast within the hour.
What's here: parking for one car on the drive, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if needed. No pets.
