Scobach Lodge is near Turriff, about three miles out. It's a bungalow, detached, so you're on your own. It sits in a clearing in the trees. It’s very quiet.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Everything is on one floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable, not old-fashioned.
The main room has a wood-burning stove. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. The garden is enclosed, mostly patio. There's parking right outside.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included.
Turriff has the basics: a few shops, a golf course, a swimming pool. For a bigger day out, Duff House in Banff is about ten miles. It's a National Trust for Scotland place, an old house with art.
You're in good driving distance for the coast. Pennan, where they filmed Local Hero, is about half an hour. Aberdeen is just under an hour if you need a city.
