This place is Mountain View. It's in Tomintoul, which is up in Aberdeenshire. It's a detached house, so no neighbours attached. The back garden is enclosed and it looks straight out onto fields with the hills behind. It really does have the view the name says.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, and one is a wet room on the ground floor which is handy. The front door is wheelchair accessible. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and warm. There's a woodburning stove in the living room.
Tomintoul is the highest village in the Highlands. The local shop and a pub are a short walk away. The pub does food.
If you're here for the Whisky Trail, you're in a good spot. The Glenlivet Distillery is about a 15 minute drive. For walking, you're right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The Lecht ski centre is about 20 minutes away for skiing in season. There's a mountain bike centre at Glenlivet too.
Further out, you can get to Aviemore in under an hour, or out to the Moray coast in about the same time. Ballater and Grantown-on-Spey are closer, maybe half an hour.
For facilities: it's got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking on the drive.
For planning days out, the National Trust for Scotland Cairngorms page has good information.
