Drumurnie is a cottage in Tomintoul. It's the highest village in the Highlands. It's quiet here, but friendly.
The cottage sleeps four. There's a double bedroom and a twin room with two single beds. One bathroom, with a walk-in shower. It's all on the ground floor. It has a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and warm.
The living room is a good size, with comfy seats. The kitchen has space for cooking and eating together. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Out the back there's an enclosed garden with a patio. The view is the main thing. It's fields and hills. At night, because there's hardly any light pollution, you can see an amazing amount of stars. This area is a Dark Sky Park.
There are country walks you can start from the door. The village has a local pub. For fishing, you can ask locally about the River Avon.
You're right on the Snow Roads scenic route for driving. The Lecht ski centre and bike trails are about five miles away. For whisky, you're close to the start of the Speyside Whisky Trail.
Within about half an hour you can be at the Cairngorm Mountain funicular, or the Landmark Adventure Centre. The Highland Wildlife Park is about an hour's drive.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. There's bike storage. Sorry, no pets.
