The Old Granary is between Aberlour and Grantown-on-Spey, right next to the River Spey. It's a converted grain store, so the walls are thick old stone. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and everything works properly.
There's a little patio area at the back. You're literally about twenty yards from the riverbank. The Speyside Way path runs right past, so you can just step outside and be on it.
Ballindalloch Castle is two miles down the road if you fancy a look. The Cragganmore Distillery is less than a mile away if you're doing the whisky trail.
For walking, the Speyside Way is the main thing right here. For a drive, you can get up to the Cairngorms or over to the coast at Lossiemouth in under an hour. The beach at Lossiemouth is good, and you sometimes see dolphins.
The facilities are all listed, but to be clear: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
