The Hive Cavers

The Hive is a holiday caravan on the river Teviot, near Hawick. It's part of a quiet park. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one double with a toilet ensuite, and two twin rooms. There's also a separate shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything is on one level.

The main living area is open plan. The decking out the back is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids. You look straight out at the river. It's a proper view.

Being two miles from Hawick is handy. It's a proper Borders town with shops and places to eat. Wilton Lodge Park is nice for a walk. There's fishing if you have a permit.

For history, you've got Hermitage Castle about a 20-minute drive away. It's a serious old fortress. For a longer day out, you can be in the Northumberland National Park or by the coast at Berwick-upon-Tweed in under half an hour.

What's here: The place has its own parking. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. A cot is there if you need it. WiFi works. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a kids' play area on the park.
