Melgund Glen Lodge Minto

This is Melgund Glen Lodge. It's in Minto, which is in the Scottish Borders. The place is detached, so you're on your own, but I do live about a quarter of a mile up the track.

It sleeps five people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The main thing is it's really peaceful, set back in some woodland with a stream at the bottom of the garden.

You can walk to Denholm village in a few minutes. That's where the shops are, and a couple of pubs that do food. If you're bringing dogs, you can bring two. There's space for them outside.

For things to do, you're in a good spot. Minto Golf Course is half a mile away. Fishing on the Teviot and Tweed rivers is close by. If you like walking or cycling, there's plenty of quiet roads and hills right from the door. For mountain biking, Glentress Forest is about a 30 minute drive.

The bigger towns like Kelso and Melrose aren't far. They've got the abbeys, big houses like Floors Castle, and decent cafes and shops. Edinburgh is just over an hour's drive if you fancy a day in the city.

What's here: there's parking, a woodburning stove, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need one, and somewhere to store bikes.
