The Granary is in Lanton, on our working farm. It's a detached cottage. You're up on a hillside, so the view from the garden is over the Teviot Valley. It's peaceful up here.
It sleeps six people but there are only two bedrooms, so some beds are bunk beds. The stairs are a bit steep like a lot of old places round here. There's one bathroom, a shower over the bath. It's got a Three Star rating, which is accurate. It's clean and comfortable.
The kitchen is a farmhouse kitchen with a Rayburn. That keeps the place warm, so it's cosy. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The main living room has a wood burner at one end. It's a good space. The garden patio gets the sun and is sheltered.
We run a stunt team here with horses and dogs, called Les Amis D’Onno. If you're interested, you can arrange things like dog training sessions or a photoshoot. It's not something you get everywhere.
Jedburgh is two miles away. There are shops, a pub, and places to eat. It's got the abbey and a museum. The other Border towns like Melrose and Kelso are close for a day out. They've got their own abbeys and big houses too. You can get the train to Edinburgh from Tweedbank if you don't want to drive.
There's plenty of walking right from the door on the farm tracks and woodland. A golf course is nearby. You can be in Northumberland National Park or up into the Lowther Hills within about half an hour in the car.
Facilities are listed. Towels and bedding are included. There's a cot. You can bring up to three dogs. Parking is right outside.
