The Granary is on our farm in Lanton, just outside Jedburgh. It's detached, so you're on your own. The views are over our fields and the Teviot Valley.
It sleeps six, but in two bedrooms. One is a double, the other has four single beds. So it suits two parents and up to four kids, or maybe two couples who don't mind sharing a room. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxury.
The kitchen has a Rayburn. It's always on, so it keeps the whole place warm. The living room is upstairs to get the best of the view. It's a big, light space with a wood burner at one end and some bookshelves at the other. The patio outside gets the sun most of the day.
We run a stunt team with horses and dogs here, called Les Amis D’Onno. They're often training around the farm. If you're interested, you can book activities like dog training or a photo shoot with them. It's optional.
Jedburgh is two miles away. It's got a decent supermarket, a few pubs that do food, and some takeaways. The abbey is worth a look. For a bigger day out, Melrose, Kelso and Dryburgh are all close. They've got the other border abbeys and big houses like Floors Castle.
You can walk straight from the door on the farm tracks. For a proper walk, the Southern Upland Way isn't far. If you want to leave the car, you can get the train to Edinburgh from Tweedbank. It takes about an hour.
Things you might need to know: there's a cot and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs. The parking is right outside. There is a TV. No dishwasher.
