Lighthouse Lookout is a flat in Sunderland, on the first floor. It looks straight out over Roker beach and the pier. The view from the lounge is the main thing. You can sit there and watch the sea all day.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has an en-suite and beds you can split into twins. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and clean. The stairs inside the flat are open-tread and a bit steep, just so you know.
You're five minutes from the beach on foot. There are two parking spots for you. The kitchen is downstairs on the lower floor. It has a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
You don't need to drive for basics. There are places for fish and chips, a pub called The Roker Hotel a few minutes away, and a sea sports centre for kayaking or paddleboarding just down the road.
If you do drive, Souter Lighthouse is about ten minutes south. Good for a walk and they do food. Seaham, where people look for sea glass on the beach, is twenty minutes. Beamish Museum is half an hour inland, good for a family day out. Durham city centre is about half an hour away too.
