The Saddlers Cottage is on Front Street in East Boldon. It’s a terraced cottage, sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It’s clean and tidy, with a few old features like the fireplace. The stairs are steep, like most cottages.
You get the courtyard garden to yourself. It's enclosed, gets the sun in the afternoon. Good for sitting out.
The village has a couple of pubs and a few places to eat, all about a five minute walk. There's a good butcher and a post office. The Metro station is close, takes you into Newcastle or along the coast to the beaches.
Seaburn and Roker beaches are about a ten minute drive. Sandy, good for a walk. There’s a park at Roker with a miniature railway. South Shields, Tynemouth, and Whitley Bay are a short drive or a Metro ride away.
If you want to go further, Northumberland is about an hour up the coast. That’s where the castles and really big beaches are.
